LeonaLeona Louise Lewis, born on April 3, 1985. It is an actor, singer, and activist from Britain. She was born and raised in London Borough of Islington and took classes at Croydon's BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis gained national attention when she won the third series of The X Factor in 2006, winning the PS1 million recording contract for Syco Music. The winner's song, which was a cover to Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment Like This" reached number one for 4 weeks on the UK Singles Chart and broke a world record by reaching 50,000 digital downloads within 30 minutes. In February 2007 Lewis was signed to a contract for five albums with the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. The artist's popularity grew with the announcement of her first studio album, Spirit (2007), which received a platinum certification of 10x in the UK and became the fourth most-sold album of the 2000s , and also one of the top-selling albums of UK chart the history of chart. According to the Official Charts Company claims that Spirit was the 21st-century's best-selling album by a female debut. Its first single, "Bleeding Love", went on to chart for seven weeks in the UK. top in UK and was the best-selling single in 2007. The song was also the highest-selling song in the US that year. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award the next year. Her debut album was Echo in 2009 , and recorded "I Love You" The film's theme track. Lewis' hit single "Collide", was co-written by Swedish DJ Avicii as well as Hurt The EP, her debut extended performance. Glassheart (2012) is her 3rd studio release. She took inspiration from dubstep and electronic music. The Glassheart Tour was in the beginning of 2013 when she started recording material to record her first Christmas album. Christmas, with Love came out later in that year. The album's first single, "One More Sleep" reached the top spot at three in the UK. Lewis was who is a British solo female artist made history by becoming the first British artist to break the top five with eight singles. This surpasses Olivia Newton John's seven-year record.
